Getting God involved through prayer is the first and the most important thing to do if we are going to accomplish anything.
Many critics of prayer complain that they pray a lot, but it doesn’t seem to do any good. The best line from the old M*A*S*H T.V. series was when the injured solder asked “Does God answer all our prayers?” The reply: “Yes, but sometimes the answer is ‘no'”
Be willing to believe that every prayer has its effect. Be open in your prayer to let God do his work. Even if you don’t see the results of prayer, that doesn’t mean God is not listening. God always rises to the occasion and will often do something a lot better than what you wanted him to do. He does what is best for you, even if it does not entirely conform to your plan.
“God, I offer myself to Thee — to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do Thy will. Take away my difficulties, that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love, and Thy Way of life. May I do Thy will always!”
