In the Gospels, Jesus shows Himself to be sensitive to the needs of people who are in search of Him. He just cannot remain indifferent to the needs of those he meets on the way. If people are to meet Jesus through us we must show them the same compassion Jesus did.
The more unselfish the love we show to others, the more easily peace can be made with God and with man.
