When we carelessly open our ears to the talk of the world, we close our ears to the Word of God. However, when we close our ears to the strident controversies of the world, we open our ears to the voice of God.

Distractions of this world(music, news, tv, internet, …)create thoughts and emotionsthat impoverish, degrade, and limitmy ability to extract from life its magnificent content, its usefulness its joy.
Take the time to unite yourself with God peacefully and quietly and to seek his mind and heart. Linger in His presence. Ask God to open your eyes to the greater good He may be seeking. I may not be what you set out to pray for.
Feeling sorry for one’s self does not help us go to God. It simply immerses us further in our own powerlessness. Let God break your limited plans and expectations Meditate on His will, and obvious role in your life, On the real events of your life. Not your own broken, limited plans and hopes this
