The Spirit within
We have the Spiritual Ability to overcome the self-indulgence that leads to serious personal problems. With the Holy Spirit’s aid, we can say no to the temptations that lure us into serious wrongdoing. God is not foreign to my freedom.The Spirit breathes life into my most intimate desires,gently nudging me towards all that is good.
What can I do
We change the world little by not doing things.Living right does not consist merely in not doing bad things, we must work to also do good things.
Surrender
Work to become someone to whom any soul can come to discover God’s truth and God’s love. Dear God: Take my will,Take my life, Take this day and make it yours.
Reflect
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,patience, kindness, generosity,faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Before you go to bed tonight, review the day. Remember the fruit of the Spirit that you demonstratedand be encouraged by your victories.
Free will
All things are under God’s dominion except our free will. That He doesn’t force. That He doesn’t conquer. He leaves it perfectly intact, so that we might respond freely to His call “Please open my eyes to Your guidance so that I can live a life fully pleasing to you.”
Be Humble
God will lift us up to true fulfillment only if we get down from our own ivory tower of egotism.
