God can only be reached through prayer and love. Trying to reach God with your intellect is not possible, and thus the source of the atheist.
When we pray the “Our Father” from the heart, it helps our heart to change. “A clean heart create for me, God; renew within me a steadfast spirit”
Every day we face situations in which we must choose not to gossip; to avoid TV shows, movies, or Internet sites that incite greed, envy, laziness, or lust; to eat and drink in moderation; to give employers a honest day’s work; to keep anger in check (even with our teenagers). Choose with the Wisdom given
is the gift from the Holy Spirit that allows us to see and comprehend divine and human realities from God’s perspective (eg. Beatitude, to be supreme happy we must be poor in spirit, meek, mournful, thirsting for justice, merciful, clean of heart, peacemakers and suffer persecution for justice sake)
Help me to love myself and accept your love despite my unworthiness, so that I may love others as you would love them.
Human respect is the “guillotine of saints.” It has a suicidal effect and a deadly capacity to cut short the action of a zealous heart. Human respect renders love of God and souls sterile because it is nothing but pride disguised as fear, doubt, or the sophism of not wanting to hurt others’ feelings. True
